Cargo Claims

File a cargo claim clearly and quickly.

If you believe a shipment was lost, damaged, delayed, or delivered with an issue, submit the claim details and supporting documents so GracePoint can review the shipment record.

How to File

Use the claim form with your GracePoint tracking number, contact information, and a clear explanation of the issue. The system connects the claim to the existing shipment record when the tracking number is valid.

Documents Needed

Include photos, proof of delivery, supporting delivery notes, and an invoice or other document showing the value of the goods involved. File as soon as possible while the shipment facts are fresh.

Timing

For covered interstate cargo claims under the Carmack Amendment, a carrier may not provide less than 9 months to file a claim and less than 2 years to bring a lawsuit after a written claim denial. Other contract or shipment-specific requirements may still apply.

GracePoint Claim Review

GracePoint tracks written acknowledgment of a proper cargo claim within 30 days. If a claim cannot be resolved within 120 days, GracePoint tracks the need to provide a written status update and reason for delay while the claim remains pending.

This page provides operational information, not legal advice. Customers should submit claim details promptly and preserve all packaging, photos, documents, and shipment communications.
